Marathon Weekend...

no...not a real marathon...but I ran around here like a crazy woman no less!!!

Somehow, I managed to see one of my Madison's volleyball games...1/2 of Jack's soccer game...(thankfully Luke is too little for organized sports still...)  On Saturday we took the kids to see High School Musical on Ice, which was TOTALLY AWESOME!  And today I co-hosted  a baby shower for one of my dearest friends...

In between all of this I still had time for some really great sessions!  I love my crazy busy - sleep deprived life...!

First up....3 month old...baby "G"...I can not believe how much this little guy has grown in three months!  Adorable as ever....check out the pee-pee stream....SO funny...!

And Miss baby "J"...She too is a "baby planner"...making her big debut on my blog...but I am quite sure you will be seeing much more of her...she is beautiful!  I love her thick hair!

And now baby "E"...a very strong a curious 4 month old...she has the most tiny features and big blue eyes...she is so pretty...like her momma!  "E" is the youngest of four children...so hopefully I will get to photograph all of the siblings together!

And last but not least...Ashley Neff, Miss College Station 2008!  I am one of Ashley's sponsors for the upcoming Miss Texas USA pageant...it will be televised on Sun. June 29th...everybody tune it...and lets all cheer for Ashley!!!  Here is one of her new head shots...Gorgeous!  Good Luck Ashley...!

Up Town Girl...

This Dallas Beauty is one of a kind!  I have photographed lil Miss "L" once before...as in before she could walk!!!  WOW...what a difference being "mobile" can make, ha!  This girl is one fast diva!  Her grandparents came in for a visit from New York and joined in the shoot...I love so many of the family pictures...but I HAD to give the spot light to the real star here...isn't she a doll!  I just love those curls!

Round ONE...

Meet the beautiful Bradford children...We had their first session about a week ago...and the next session...is scheduled in about a week! *wink*

You see, seperately these two were a photographers dream...A handsome six year old who was full of wonderful expressions and "lively" conversation and his precious baby sister who just stared at my camera with the most gorgeous blue eyes ever!!!  But together - well...like I said...Round Two...ha,ha! And so, we will try for the sibling pictures another day!  But...the session was still a great success and  I couldnt wait any longer to share these...I love them, I hope that mom and dad do too...!

We're Back...

We had a blast at the Great Wolf Lodge...if you have not been yet...WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?!!!  My kids loved the hotel and the water park was just awesome!  I also realized over the past two days what FABULOUS ages my kids are at right now...Madison who's 9, Jack is 6 and baby Luke is almost 3...Though is is a little sad that I am almost out of the baby stage...it sure is fun to play with them as they get older too!  All five of us rode River Canyon Run...!  We are going to Disney later this year, from Dec. 14th. to Dec. 22nd...I am really looking forward to that!

But...for now...back to work!  I am dying to share this little cutie pie...Mr. "R" is one of my baby planners and this is his 9 month session.  Look at those eyes...they are incredible!  He really is such a sweet baby...his mommy and daddy are going to get very spoiled by him...!  See you guys next week to see the rest!

Happy Easter...

I love Easter!  I love coloring eggs...I love Easter baskets...and I love getting just a little extra dressed up for church...!  But what I love most about this day, is that I am reminded of what His true love and forgiveness means!

Terry & I are taking Monday and Tuesday off to spend a little time with the kids.  We are heading to the Great Wolf Lodge for the night and spending all of Tuesday at the water park...I can not even tell you how excited we all are!  I love taking little mini-breaks...they are extra fun in my opinion!

I will return all calls and emails on Wednesday...thank you for your patience...you guys are awesome!

And since I just can't stand to blog with out sharing at least one picture...I picked a special one...Some very dear clients of mine brought me a gorgeous bouquet of flowers on Friday!  I truly love them and appreciate the kindness in this gesture!  I have taken many pictures of them...and this one is my favorite.

Thank you guys so much...you and baby "L" already mean so much to me!

As Promised...

I returned to the Wooley home for a quick new born session...humm...a quick new born session...is that really possible?  Well...it is!  I had about 30 minutes of actual shooting time before I had to be out the door for my already scheduled appointments...but you know me...always running!  I feel so bonded to this baby already...I HAD to take pictures of her before she turned more than ONE day old...silly, I know...but what can I say...she is adorable and so lovable!

Family Fun...

Oh my goodness...I have had the most incredible clients lately...I cant stop sharing on this blog!  I feel so blessed that I get to work with such loving and fun clients!  Thank you all for the trust and loyalty that you show me!  I am truly thankful for all the emails I have recieved today in response to the Birth shoot,  I promise I will pass on all the "warm wishes" that you sent to the Wooleys.

I first met this family one year ago...we did a studio session with these two beautiful children.  This year...mom & dad joined in on the fun and I am so glad they did!  I love the natural conection that this family has with each other...nothing looks forced or staged...just relaxed & playful!  I couldn't be happier with the pictures and I hope that you guys love them too...see you next week!

11 pounds, 4 ounces...

As many of you know...for the past four weeks or so I have been "on call" to photograph a birth for one of my clients-turned dear friends, the Wooleys.  In fact, several of my appointments were set with the knowing that you might be bumped at anytime depending on this delivery.  Well...the due date came...and passed...and still, no baby Wooley...9 days past the due date-still no baby...10 days-no baby...but...

At 2:55 AM...this morning...I got the call I had been waiting for.  The voice on the other line said "ok...it's go time"...and by 3:03 AM  I was pulling out of my drive way...two things running thru my mind....ONE, will they have enough coffee and TWO, how in the world am I going to photograph a birth!  Well, a little late for panicking I guess!

But seriously, there are pro photographers who specialize in birth photography.  I gotta tell you...I was NERVOUS!  Not only had I never photographed a birth before...but also, I have never really seen a birth before!  YIKES!  Even after having three children of my own...I never looked, I didn't use mirrors or even allow anyone to even think about picking up a camera untill my baby was clean and fresh and most importantly, I was OUT of stirrups!  Yep...nervous!

I pulled up to the Wooleys house at 3:25am and was greeted at the door by daddy and Miss K...the Wooleys one year old daughter...She was wide awake and ready to party let me tell you!  As soon as I walked in, and yes...got a cup of coffee I felt better...my nerves settled and I was ready to photograph this birth!

The Wooleys had the most amazing team of midwives and nurses!  My complete respect goes to these gifted and knowledgable women...!

But the real gold medal goes to my friend Susan Wooley.  Susan was so strong and so controlled through her labor and all natural delivery.  She was in active labor for many hours and her tiny little body went through so much struggling.

I cannot express the range of emotions that I experienced today.  It was SO hard to see my friend in pain.  Many times I had to step out of the room to compose myself...I was a crying mess!  I was also BLOWN away by the strength that she showed during her contractions...this girl is one tough cookie!  I was so very proud of her today...it was a long and hard time for her...but with prayer, support and the pure fact that it just too darn late to turn back...she delivered her- 10 day over due- baby girl!

The newest Wooley weighed in at 11 lbs. 4 oz. and 23 inches long...Can you even believe that!  Susan is a tiny little 100 pounder her self...WOW...She is healthy and beautiful!  She has a head FULL of long, thick black hair and even already has chubby little cheeks!  Perfect in every way!

As far as my photography...I ROCKED!  The pictures turned out wonderful...a timeless keepsake of this little baby's birthday...!  I am so happy to share them with the Wooleys.  Most all of the pictures are very personal and private...just for this family.  But I am going back to their home in the morning for the baby's REAL new born session...I am determined to get this baby pictures done before she turns one day old!  I will share those later!

Ok...here is a picture of the newest baby to join the Wooley family getting her first bath - the warm water was mixed with all sorts of herbal blends... she loved it...

Susan1

Thank you guys for asking me to be apart of this awesome day!  I love all four of you!
