This shoot was one of my favorites of the week for sure...I love family sessions and I love these ages of kids! Mom did an awesome job with the clothes and remembered to pack snacks...very important! I am showing you guys a bunch here...but I just couldn't resist, they are all so great! The Jacksons' are truly a beautiful family! This is my idea of what family pictures should be...relaxed and playful! I hope that you guys love them!

This time around was especially fun because the pictures are a surprise for their daddy in honor of Father's Day next month. I am amazed that these two beautiful children have kept this fun secret for weeks...that's right...they have known about this special session with Ms. Marquette for weeks and not said a word about it to daddy! I dont even think my 9 year old could keep a secret that long! They are some super smart and sweet children...

Also, many of you have noticed that I have not been blogging as much lately...I appreciate your emails and I want to assure that I am doing great...joyfully busy and I love it! I also want to thank you for your concern for my mom...she is doing much better now...
My youngest baby turns three this Saturday and we are having his party at my parents home...swimming, pinatas...tractor riding ( my folks live on a farm) and maybe I'll even share some pictures...wink!

I am so happy I got to work with this awesome mom and her two little ones...these clients are on "loan" to me while their current photographer is on maternity leave...These kids are both gorgeous...they look so much like their momma! And while I love so many of the pictures from this session, there are a few that stand out to me as being special...I especially love the last one, take a look...
No...I am still not shooting any weddings...but I was excited to get to do a bridal session! This bride to be was referred to me by another great client of mine...and it really was nice to do something a little different. We shot at the Dallas Arboretum on a day that just so happened to have more school field trips that you can imagine....it was funny because we seriously had little "swarms" of kids around us watching and cheering and telling my client how pretty she looked! It was adorable...!

This is little baby "A"...she is only 5 days old and could'nt be any sweeter! She was such a good baby during her newborn session. She just slept, ate, pooped...and slept some more...all those wonderful things that a newborn baby should do. Since her parents signed up for my baby plan you will be seeing much more of her in the future...she's beautiful!
These pictures almost give me baby fever...wink...
I love this last picture so much...I couldn't decide if I liked it better in color or in b/w...what do you think?
On a side note...as some of you know, my mom fell last week in her garage and had to be taken to the hospital. No one was home to help her at the time and my parents live on a farm with no direct neighbors...thankfully she is doing much better now. I am very grateful to all of you who have extended your support and well wishes to her. You are all wonderful! Moms' fall...along with my girl scout camping trip with Madison has put me behind by at least 6 clients on the blog...yikes...that is a lot to make up...SO...I am so sorry if I have missed you this time around! You are all so very dear to me...and being your photographer is such a privilege. I am thankful every day for you all. I look forward to seeing you at our scheduled proofings...your going to love your pictures!

I got to meet with the "L" family a few days ago....Last minute we decided to change our location and I am so glad we did. I made some calls and pulled some strings to get our photography permit...every thing just worked out great! This beautiful family was so much fun! Their kids are so well mannered and kind to each other...their parents should be proud! They took great pictures...it was very hard to pick just a few to share...I hope you love them...see you soon!
Mr. "G"'s three month session was at his crib for a change...wink! Anyway...the Blankenship family is always a blast to be around...I really love our sessions together and this one was no different! We got so many beautiful images in their lovely home...I cant wait to share them...Thanks guys!

Oh my gosh...I am so excited to share this family! I have worked with the "A" twins before...and now that these two girls are turning 2...it was once again time for pictures!
These little girls are so active and fun...they keep their mommy & daddy...(and photographer) on the move! I love their expressive eyes and their little bow-tie mouths...they are beautiful little girls! I can just barely tell them apart...they look and sound identical! They even have this cool twin language...it is just fascinating! I always wanted to have twins...take a look...

My life is so full of blessings... and I love the "little things"...I always have! One of my most favorite times with my family is in the evening after dinner...We all go out in our backyard and play together. We play volleyball, soccer and sometimes we all climb up in the fort and "camp out".
Last night we spent time in the backyard together re-planting some shrubs and even our 15 foot Chinese Maple tree that was literally pushed all the way over to the ground from the storms that hit us the night before. I am so thankful that we were able to save this tree...she is beatufiul...
Anyway...the kids has so much fun helping us repair our wonderful backyard...and I loved being able to spend the time with them. I dont often blog my kids...and believe me, I could...I take their pictures all the time...but I just have to share these...and yes, brag a little...I am so very proud of them! I feel like so many you know them anyway...
I am sharing a few of my baby, Luke...he will turning 3 in a few weeks...he is truly the "Heart Beat" of our family...we all just adore him!

Everyone, meet Julia! I can't believe this baby is already ONE year old! She is one charming girl...look at those eyes! Her daddy is in big trouble in a few years! I love these pictures, they have such a timeless look to them...and they are perfect in black/white...
Julia is the grandaughter of a very specical person to me...my old OB...! Dr. Mark Reimer was my doctor for many years...He delivered my babies and gave me the BEST prenatal care I could have ever hoped to receive. Dr. Reimer is now at the Mayo Clinic where he is teaching his genius skills to up-and-coming doctors...I am very happy for him and his wife Anna...but they are also very missed! Fortunately I still get to photograph their gorgeous grandchildren...!
